Connections
Create and manage the authenticated connections used by Channels and MCPs.
A Connection stores the authorization that allows Zaia to communicate with an external service.
Connections belong to the current workspace. They can be reused by supported Channels, MCPs, Tools, and other product flows.
Renaming a connection
You can update the display name of an existing connection without recreating or reconnecting it.
Open Workspace Settings → Connections.
Open the connection's actions menu.
Select Edit.
Enter a name between 3 and 50 characters.
Save the change.
The connection list refreshes with the new name after the update succeeds.
Renaming changes only the connection name. It does not change:
Authentication or saved credentials.
The connected external account.
Connection details or description.
Connection status.
Channels, MCPs, or other resources that already use the connection.
If the update fails, the edit window remains open with the entered value so it can be reviewed and submitted again.
Permissions
Renaming follows the same workspace permission used to manage connections. Users without that permission cannot update a connection.
The connection must belong to the current workspace.
Naming guidance
Use names that distinguish the external account or purpose of each connection, especially when the workspace contains multiple connections of the same type.
